I would reckon a more likely and sensible prediction, that Los Santos has at least 600000+ people living in it, while when u count the whole island it may be 750000+ people in total.

It kind of annoyed me how small the downtown skyline is they didn't include alot of buildings that are actually in LA and the downtown area looks really small compared to the real thing. Look at how huge the new version of Vice Citys downtown looks and it has more skyscrapers than Los Santos has.

Its kinda crazy that Los Santos has roughly 20k people. I live in a rural city of 7000 people, Los Santos is only like 3x more populous than my city despite being WAY more urbanized.
